About Stonington

A quiet place,
looked after by people who live nearby.

Stonington is fourteen wooden townhomes on a wooded hilltop in Columbus, Mississippi. No leasing office, no call center, no big complex. Just a small neighborhood owned and cared for by a local couple who answer the phone.

How Stonington came to be

A neighborhood, not a complex.

Stonington was built up the hill and behind the trees on purpose. Fourteen homes, set back from the road, where evenings are quiet and you actually get to know your neighbors. It was never meant to be the biggest place in town, just a steady, well-kept one.

Over the years it has become a favorite for families stationed at Columbus AFB and folks who want to be close to town without being in the middle of it. People tend to stay a while, and when they move on, they usually refer a friend to take their spot.

The people behind it

Owner-managed, the old-fashioned way.

We're a local couple, not a property management company. We live about fifteen minutes away and we handle the leasing, the upkeep, and the maintenance calls ourselves. When you reach out, you're talking with us directly. That means repairs don't sit on a ticket queue and there's a real person who knows your home.

What we care about

A few things we don't cut corners on.

"We treat Stonington the way we'd want our own place treated. If you rent from us, you're a neighbor, not a unit number."
— BB and Fonce
